Everton America is a premier youth soccer club based in Norwalk CT. Our club offers expert soccer coaching for boys and girls from 6 to 18 years. Everton America is the exclusive U.S. affiliate of Everton Football Club of the English Premier League.
As our central training facility, EACT is committed to maintaining and improving the playing surface at All Saints Catholic School to provide our players with a premium playing surface. We provide a full maintenance service including snow ploughing, turf management and field safety and security.
EACT Facilities Manager: Yuri Strus
- BA in philosophy from St. Basil's College and Turf Degree from U Mass: Stockbridge School of Agriculture.
- 4 summer seasons working for grounds crew at Sterling Farms Golf Course.
- 10 years of work as assistant of superintendent at Silvermine Golf Club and 8 years working for Turf Pro.
- Holds all necessary certification by the State of CT including supervisory turf and ornamental license.
- We are fully equipped with commercial grade equipment and professional crew
Fields have an annual program of seed, fertilizer, aeration and weed control.
All fields were re-seeded at the end of the fall season but with one of the coldest Marches on record, the grass is still dormant and seed is yet to germinate.
The 8v8 field has historically had drainage problems. We have added drainage in last month. Top soil will be trucked in to improve the playing surface.
In the last year we have assigned Simon Wilshaw to work closely with Yuriy to optimize our facility.
